UPRT Australia was created on the back of many discussions between our Directors about how the aviation industry needed specialised training in Upset Prevention and Recovery Training.
Despite the aviation industry recognising that Loss Of Control-Inflight (LOC-I) has the highest fatality rate of any type of aviation accident, LOC-I accidents continue to occur at all levels of aviation - from the private pilot through to the most highly trained airliner pilot. The most unfortunate statistic is that if you have a LOC-I, you will probably have a fatal accident.
At UPRT Australia, our mission is to change that.
Doing a course with UPRT Australia will provide a multi-faceted course focusing on the PREVENTION of a LOC-I:
- KNOWLEDGE: Improving your knowledge of both your aircraft and yourself. Aerodynamics, environment, psychological and aircraft envelope knowledge.
- AWARENESS: Increase your ability to recognise how your aircraft talks to you and gives you the warning signs of an impending upset and how you can use this to prevent the upset from occurring.
- RECOVERY: Providing the skills to recover from a LOC-I should it develop. This will not only focus on the manual flying skills, but give you the tools to overcome the intense negative psychological events that occur when put in a life-threatening scenario.
Doing a UPRT Australia course will take you outside your comfort-zone, but we do this in a controlled, safe environment that allows the student to feel confidently in-control, and builds on the knowledge gained in the classroom to enable you to make those life-saving decisions when dealing with an aircraft upset.
UPRT Australia is built on the knowledge of our Directors who have nearly 50 years of aviation experience between them in GA, Aero-medical, instruction, warbirds, airlines and air show displays. Nowhere else in Australia do you have the chance to learn from such expertise in a comprehensive training package. No matter your experience or licence level, UPRT Australia can provide a package that will make you a safer pilot.
It needs to be noted that our UPRT packages do not have a licence or rating attached to them, as UPRT is not covered under the CASA Part 61 licence requirements.
Our UPRT is not an aerobatics course. If you’re looking to improve your skill set further, then chat to us about a full UPRT Australia aerobatic, formation, formation aerobatic and tailwheel endorsements.
